The twitter feed on the home page auto updates from threads made in the Events section. Anything new posted in that section will be automatically posted to Twitter and the feed on the home page every 30 minutes. This way it not only makes it easy to have events posted on the home page, but also gives extra promotion by posting to twitter.
It is working properly, the only glitch I see is it is showing each post twice on the feed. I'm trying to fix this, but if not, it looks like it will not effect new posts, just the order of posts will be doubled at the end of the feed which will (hopefully) ultimately be long enough that it doesn't matter.
If you'd like to follow the twitter page, just follow @dvillemusicians If the twitter page gets many followers, then that means events are promoted to more people, who could then retweet the event and expose events to yet more people.
